The English Language Center in cooperation with Pearson Publishing held a training course for faculty members to train and introduce them to the mechanism of using the Pearson Publishing House curricula. The course was held on Tuesday 21/3/2023 at the English Language Center from 10 am to 2 pm. It was presented by Dr. Hermani of Pearson, and she talked about three main topics:
- Maintaining Motivation throughout the academic year
- Teaching Writing Skills 
- Education Technology 1: Essentials

Based on the tasks of the English Language Center to improve the English language skills of male and female students of King Khalid University, a number of specialized English language training courses will be held in the third semester of the year 1444 AH. The English Language Center in cooperation with AlKhaleej Company for Training and Education held a training course that lasted for one hour on Sunday 2/15/2023 to introduce the CELTA course in practice "Insight into CELTA Course". The course was presented by Mr. Mohammed Sherajul Islam & Mr. Demond Le Bryan Bell. The course was attended by more than 35 members from the English Language Center and the College of Languages and Translation (males and females) at the English Language Center in the Seminars Hall.

Last Tuesday, ELC held a training course on the Cambridge One for two full hours on Tuesday 7.2.2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm. The session was presented by Ms. Zel Labro & Ms. Camille Liera from Cambridge University under the supervision of Ms. Roaa Al Muhsin, where the course was a cooperation between King Khalid University, the Human Resource department, and Cambridge University. The course was online via Teams and was attended by more than 15 members of the English Language Center and Languages and Translation College (Male & Female).

The CELTA certificate is important for English language teachers, so ELC held an orientation for the second session on Sunday 5.2.2023 for two full hours. The session was presented by Dr. Maher from Dar Al-Hekma University under the supervision of Ms. Roaa Al Muhsin, where the course was a cooperation between King Khalid University, the Human Resource department and Dar Al-Hekma University (accredited by Cambridge for teacher training and issuance of CELTA certificates).
