The progress of countries and their peoples depends on the efficiency and development of their human resources. Higher education is one of the most important means of preparing human resources, which represents a strategic investment for each country. Through higher education programs, each country is able to meet its needs of manpower and skilled hands that the labor market require nat. In recent years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed remarkable interest in higher education, coupled with unlimited financial support from its rational government, through the construction of many universities in an effort to increase the number of admissions and absorption of graduates of public education, in addition to the efforts made to raise the quality of higher education outputs and institutions. Which was represented by the establishment of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, and the development of a future strategic plan for university education in the Kingdom "Project Horizons".
In line with these efforts, local universities have raced to develop their strategic plans to ensure compliance with the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Accreditation and the "Aafaq Project". King Khalid University is one of those universities, as it developed a strategic plan for it in cooperation with the Stanford International Research Institute (SRI). ), which provided assistance in analyzing the current situation at the university and preparing and developing the strategic plan. This project came in response to these data and clarification of the strategic role that the university aspires to play in light of the efforts made in supporting higher education, by developing strategic plans for some work units at the university so that they go according to their strategic plan, and the vision, mission and objectives of each are consistent with their counterpart in the plan University strategy.
Based on the foregoing, this document, "The Strategic Plan of the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushait", was prepared, where the general strategic features were defined, starting with the formulation of the college's vision and mission, and a set of values was crystallized on the basis of the college's work, and in the light of which it exercises its activities and achieves its goals. .
