King Khalid University Adopts the Google Classroom Platform

On behalf of His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Muhammad Du'ajim, launched the Advanced Google Classroom Initiative, which is central to the development programs of the e-Learning Department that focuses on upgrading our learning management system for better communication and feedback beyond the classroom. Vice Rector Du'ajim explained that the university seeks to implement advanced technologies to provide an additional option for faculty to provide real-time feedback on works in progress to students, which is a top priority and strategic goal.

He commented that the e-Learning Department's projects aim to enhance the quality of education and that sets the example of the vision and advanced level of performance to strive for. He then thanked Rector Al-Solamy for his sponsorship and support, the e-Learning Department, and every one who worked on this initiative.

The Classroom platform is an e-learning system - based on the principle of blended learning - offering a suite of productivity programs that are flexible with core components of cloud computing, mobility, and data analysis. Hundreds of external applications meant for educational use work with Google Classroom such as YouTube, Google Docs, Google Mail, Task Manager, and Google Analytics to name just a few. These integrations save teachers and students time and make it seamless to share information between Classroom and their favorite apps.
